Logan Charles Stryker

Logan Charles Stryker was born on March 1, 2014 in Fairfax, Virginia. Like most children, the first eight years of his life were full of wonder, travel, excitement and curiosity. Logan was not a shy kid and made friends easily. Despite his sarcastic and witty personality, most who got to know him, loved him dearly.

In October 2022, Logan was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer in his right scapula. After 14 rounds of chemo and endless stays in the hospital, he was deemed disease free in August of 2023. However, during his 3-month scan, it indicated the return of the cancer only this time, it was more aggressive. Ourselves, our family, our friends and our team of doctors and their staff exhausted all measures of research, radiation, and chemotherapy. Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, Logan passed away on July 13, 2024.

In spite of his aggressive cancer and treatment protocols, Logan never lost that special spark that made him a unique and unforgettable child. During the early stages of his time battling cancer, Logan found a passion for philanthropy and quickly became a strong personality for not only our local Golisano Children’s Hospital but other organizations as well. He regularly attended events, sometimes serving as the MC, he created content on social media, and even secured a slushy machine for all of the kids on the oncology floor at Golisano. It is no accident that he was awarded the Young Philanthropist of Southwest Florida Award in 2023.

The best way we know how to honor Logan’s legacy and keep his generous spirit alive, is by giving back and helping others...just like Logan did and would have continued to do.

Celebration of Life: Service Slideshow

Logan's Song & Lyrics

Logan’s riding scooters, with Griffin by his side
Drawing and playing, where their imaginations collide
Loves learning magic, mythology’s his game
With Cerberus and dragons, he seeks fortune and fame

Logan, brave and bright, with a heart so true
In every adventure, he finds something new
Logan, the Summoner, with courage and might
Stops Hades’ escape, putting wrongs to right

Mom and Dad, Pop pop, and Grandma, all around
Maverick, the snuggle-able dog, joy they have found
Swimming with Grandpa, in a pool’s embrace
Winter snow brings a smile to his face
Logan, funny and kind, with a spirit so free
In every challenge, he conquers with pride
Logan, compassionate, with a witty touch
Raising spirits high, he means so much

Japan adventures, Pokémon centers bright /
Universal thrills, in the day and night
Raised funds for friends, with a heart so bold /
Logan’s story is one to be told

Logan, funny and kind, with a spirit so free /
In every challenge, he conquers with pride
Logan, compassionate, with a witty touch /
Raising spirits high, he means so much
